It is a once-weekly injectable diabetic medication (GIP and GLP-1) which is a hormone produced in the small intestine that stimulates insulin secretion. This peptide inhibits glucagon secretion leading to a decrease in blood sugar.
Who can these medications be used for?
Originally intended for diabetic management, now also used for chronic weight management in adults with obesity (BMI ≥30) or in overweight individuals (BMI ≥27) with at least one weight related condition to help them lose weight and keep it off.

The package also includes 600 units of Tirzepatide which is a weekly subcutaneous injection (GIP & GLP-1 diabetic medication), aiding in weight loss. The initial injection will be at your 1st consult, weekly injections to follow at home thereafter.
Many patients are on this medication for longer than 12 weeks to reach their goal weight, for chronic obesity management, or treatment of insulin resistance. After the 12 weeks, you have the option to purchase more medication and continue with monthly weigh ins.
